Hello, My Name is Lukas Hall. I am an electric/ upright and synth bass player currently based in Manchester and now offering online lessons. I have experience in many different genres. I play anything from rock to funk and would love to help you on your journey of becoming a bass player. I teach online from my home studio and cover a wide variety of lesson topics whilst following the RSL grade Syllabus. Please feel free to reach out for more information. Whilst being an Electric Bassist, I have grown up with both RSL and ABRSM syllabus's and can teach both Classical and Popular Music Theory. So whatever you want to learn, from drum notation and chart writing to harmony and getting that all important Grade 5 Theory to take you to the next level of ABRSM awards, I am able to help. I have many years experience playing in different genres and ensembles from Orchestras to Soul bands and Chamber ensembles to Musical Theatre Pit Bands playing at venues throughout the UK from Band on the Wall, Manchester to Folklore in London and Birmingham Symphony Hall.
Hi! I’m a student at the Royal Northern College of Music studying singing and composition. I have a very flexible teaching style, I know all too well how important it is that your teacher is adapting to the way that you work best! I have experience teaching people of all ages and am happy to take on any students! Alongside my speciality in singing and composition, I have extensive training in classical piano and can teach at all levels. I truly believe that it is never too late to start learning an instrument or to sing (one of the most amazing singers I know started when he was in his fifties!). I’m happy to travel to teach or can teach in the facilities of the RNCM. Don’t hesitate to send me a message to find out more! I am in demand as a singer across the country and have sung with the Dorset Opera Festival and the Oxford Opera Festival recently. I finished my undergraduate degree at the Univeristy of Manchester with first class honours and am currently finishing the prestigious Graduate Diploma at the RNCM.
I began teaching guitar at the age of 18, just before going to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I honed my teaching skills whilst still a student myself and have since had many pupils, from children to middle-aged people, with various interests and abilities. Coming from a classical background and having studied more contemporary styles including jazz, I can cater to whatever genre a student is interested in, whilst emphasising key fundamentals such as reading notation and basic harmonic understanding. Many of my older students have wanted to develop their technique just enough to be able to play through some pop songs, so I now consider myself quite adept at identifying aspects of a person’s playing which when fixed can really elevate their playing. It’s important to me that I make learning the guitar enjoyable as well as informative, so I try to make lessons as interactive and as fun as possible.
