Charles Curtin

I am a professional saxophonist and musician, currently studying a Masters in Classical Saxophone performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where I study with Naomi Sullivan, John Harle, Alastair Penman, Nick Moss, Mick Foster and Iain Ballamy.

I have experience across a wide range of musical settings, from solo performance and chamber music to larger ensembles, including orchestras and big bands. Alongside saxophone, I also play clarinet and flute, and work as a composer, arranger and producer.

I’ve been teaching for several years, working with students of different ages and abilities. I have experience preparing students for exams and auditions, but I also really enjoy helping people develop their own musical interests and confidence. For me, lessons aren’t just about learning an instrument — they’re about helping each student become a more independent, curious and expressive musician.
