Music has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember, starting in Cagliari, Italy, where I was born and raised. During my formative years, I studied classical guitar and received private lessons in jazz guitar, which fueled my passion for modern styles. The music of Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Led Zeppelin, and Pat Metheny opened a window to the fascinating worlds of rock, jazz, and blues. Today, as a freelance session guitarist and guitar tutor, I have extensive experience in live performance, studio recording, session playing, and songwriting. I enjoy the versatility and creativity that comes with working across a wide range of genres. As a guitar teacher, I cater to beginners as well as intermediate and advanced students. My lessons blend practice and theory, ensuring that students not only learn how to play chords or songs but also understand how chords and scales work together. I have experience teaching both children and adults, and I hold an enhanced DBS check. I can also assist students who are preparing for grade examinations. I strive to make my lessons fun and interactive, always providing customised study materials tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student has just picked up the guitar, is at a more advanced level, or needs inspiration to develop their skills, I love teaching and find my greatest reward in seeing students achieve their goals. I offer discounts for bookings of five or more classes. There is an additional fee of £5 to £10 for lessons conducted at your home, depending on the distance I need to travel. I also teach the ukulele to beginners and intermediate players, and I provide transcriptions for acoustic and electric guitar, complete with tabs, standard music notation, and lyrics synchronised with the score. I am an elecric and double bass player, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter living in North East London, with nearly 15 years of professional experience as performer, composer/songwriter, bandleader, session musician and teacher. I am relaxed, patient and am keen to share my knowledge and skills with those who are in turn keen to learn! Teaching 1 to 1 lessons on Bass Guitar and Double Bass since 2012 (and taking lessons since long, long before!) I have earned great insight into different learning styles and take great joy in seeing students excel. It is my genuine goal to see students flourish and excel in their chosen music styles! I share my knowledge and experience to create an enjoyable and deep journey into the world of music that serves the interests of each individual student. I was taught by several great teachers including music conservatoire bass lecturers, masters of specific world-folk styles, renowned session players, as well as esteemed solo bassist Michael Manring. However since moving to London to advance my life in music 10 years ago and aged 19, I am incredibly grateful to have been submerged in music and culture from Balkans, Greece, Turkey, Cuba, West Africa and Congo, as well as to have learnt and gigged lots of hiphop/neo-soul, jungle/DnB/garage and Modern Jazz / Improvisation. I love to blend these contrasting styles to innovate new sounds. Some places I have performed at include : Glastonbury, Pitchfork Festival Chicago, London Jazz Festival (a few times), Southbank Centre, BBC radio and TV, TRT (Turkish TV), Iranian TV, many European tours, Village Underground, Ronnie Scotts, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg… Currently I am taking a Music Performance Masters (MA) at Goldsmiths University, I have a Rockschool grade 8 on electric bass, grade 5 theory, and a diploma for a short course in Azeri Mugham.
