With over ten years of teaching and performance experience, Rosie loves to apply vocal technique whilst using a holistic approach, exploring the voice as a whole instrument. If taking exams, they should be fun rather than feel like a chore! We approach the syllabus in a practical way, covering musicianship, ear training and performance skills to develop you as an artist. Hi, I’m Charlie. I’m a professional singer/songwriter and singing/songwriting coach working with singers of all genres, levels and ages. My teaching is of a contemporary, confidence-boosting style. With lessons specialised to you, using music that you love to develop your own unique artistry, I aim to encourage you to find your own voice and explore your creativity. Whether you want to perform, start writing lyrics, write your own songs, learn how to improvise or just sing for fun, I will cater your lessons to suit you. Music Qualifications & Achievements: I have been singing and performing in many performing arts mediums for 15 years and have been coaching for 7+ years. I love working with adults of all levels as well as more seasoned pro-artists and have been praised on my work with children, having gained a lot of experience coaching groups and getting young artists out of their shells. Lauren Easton completed her Masters in Operatic Performance from the Wales International Academy of Voice in 2013 and prior to this had studied on full scholarship from the Sony Foundation at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She holds her A.Mus.A in voice, and 6th Grade Musicianship from the Australian Music Examinations Board. Currently, she divides her time between her work as a freelance mezzo-soprano and her private singing teaching studio in Brighton. As a voice teacher with 20 years experience, Lauren has instructed students in person and online as part of her private studio and has also held positions as a peripatetic at prestigious schools such as the MacDonald College (AUS) and the Joan Sutherland Centre for the Performing Arts (AUS). Past students have seen success in accessing scholarships (the Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship, Lasalle College of the Arts Full Tuition Scholarships, Welsh College of Music and Drama bursaries), further music education placements (Lasalle, WCMD, Trinity Laban, University of Greenwich, BIMM, Northbrook), roles on professional stages (Beetlejuice, 9To5, Witches if Eastwick, We Will Rock You, Heathers, Universal Studios Singapore, Nickelodeon), and pursued work in corporate performances and recording studios. Kat Abel is a professional vocalist, pianist, and music educator with over eight years of experience in the industry. She has performed extensively across genres, from jazz and soul to reggae, gypsy, and Latin music, but her true passion lies in jazz and soul. Influenced by legends like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as early 2000s icons like Beyoncé and Adele, Kat blends vintage charm with a modern edge in both her performances and teaching. As a music teacher, Kat specializes in vocal technique, stage presence, and musical expression, helping students build confidence and artistry. She also leads choirs, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment where singers of all levels can develop their skills and experience the joy of group performance. Kat’s lessons are student-led, allowing each individual to explore their musical interests while developing strong foundational skills. She believes that learning music should be both enjoyable and rewarding, tailoring her approach to each student’s goals—whether they want to refine their technique, build confidence in performance, or simply sing for fun. Her lessons incorporate engaging warm-up exercises to strengthen vocal control, followed by working on songs chosen by the students. She also integrates breathing techniques, somatic exercises, and music therapy-inspired practices to help students connect more deeply with their voice, reduce tension, and enhance overall well-being through singing. In addition to teaching, Kat is a session musician, collaborating with producers on top-line writing and creating music for sync placements. She performs regularly, playing shows with multiple projects across the UK and Europe. As a self-employed musician, she has built a successful career by forging strong relationships with venues, event organizers, and fellow artists, allowing her to maintain a dynamic and thriving presence in the industry.

Hi, I’m Candi and I love singing. Since my first singing lesson aged 7, I absolutely fell in love with music. Taking on piano lessons aged 11 I joined every choir I could, joined a theatre group, completed my grade 8 singing and eventually did my degree in Professional Musicianship. Now with over 11 years of studio and live experience, I’ve been featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6Music, Kerrang!, Planet Rock and more, sung in numerous function bands and theatre productions, and now my mission is to help other people enjoy singing as much as I do. To achieve this mission not only do I offer sessions myself, but I have two other coaches I work with to help singers of all abilities and ages to unlock their singing potential. We call this Seafront Singing. So whether you’re preparing for an audition, just getting started or want to gain more confidence as a performer me and my team will work with you to grow and finesse your voice to really get the best out of it with lessons tailored for you. Singing should be exciting, it’s a great way to express yourself and my teaching spans a wide range of genres: rock, pop, soul, musical theatre and more. We’ll work together to achieve your goal and have fun while doing so! Our singing lessons can be offered in person from our central Brighton location. We also offer online singing lessons over Zoom. As a teenager who was glued to the radio and Kerrang! magazines, this was a really exciting experience! I started teaching because I wanted to work with people to make singing fun again and build up people’s confidence. It’s something I’m really passionate about and in a world of reality shows and ‘perfect’ lives on social media singing has now become something only ‘singers’ do. We forget that everyone can sing and it’s something to be celebrated!

Having been working as a Musical Director for over 30 years, and teaching singing for 20 I have a wealth of experience to draw from. As a Musical Theatre specialist I have helped pupils prepare for successful auditions to both the major Performing Arts colleges and also for West End roles. I also have an excellent track record for LCM Music Theatre exams, having coached up to Dip Mus level, for which one of my pupils received 98%. My knowledge of the Estill model guarantees that techniques taught will not only improve the quality, control and power of your voice, but that you will learn how to protect your vocal cords and ensure that you continue enjoying to sing forever. I currently teach singing at Sackville School in Hildenborough, and previously taught at Hillview School for Girls, which is a performing arts specialist, and where I was the Musical Director for 3 end of year productions. Before moving to this area, I also taught at Broomhill Bank School in Tunbridge Wells and Swanley, which are specialist schools for autistic children. In addition, I have taught at various performing arts schools,including Phoenix Creative Arts, for whom I was also the Musical Director of their senior youth theatre, and before that, Italia Conti in Tunbridge Wells. As well as my technical knowledge, and wide knowledge of Musical Theatre, I bring the sense of enjoyment of singing and the self confidence of hearing your voice improve, that I experienced when I was learning to sing.
