Hello, my name is Emma and I am professional Opera Singer. I am passionate about singing and would love to teach you what I know.

I have a 1st class BMus (Hons) and Distinction at Masters from the Royal Northern College of Music and studied on the Royal Academy Opera Course, London. I have experience singing as a soloist for companies including English Touring Opera, Opera Holland Park and The Grange Festival, for TV and in national competitions, and have worked as a chorister for Glyndebourne Festival Opera and English National Opera.

I continue to sing professionally and this experience helps me to continually grow my knowledge and awareness as a teacher. I have been teaching singing privately since 2018 and tailor lessons to each individual to ensure that you build a solid technique. Within lesson we will In lessons we will work on: – breath control – extending your vocal range – strengthening the voice and building stamina – preparing for performances – character preparation and confidence building – posture – musicality/musical understanding – finding repertoire that maximises your potential and that you enjoy to sing… … and much more! I am happy to teach all ages, from complete beginner to advanced and can teach both in-person or online.
