Hello, welcome to Beginner Guitar Lessons. My name is Lee Cunliffe and I offer professional online guitar lessons for those students who have never played a guitar before or who are just getting started.
Learning a new skill in life can always be a little daunting, especially when learning a new instrument. Many of us can find it very overwhelming and not really know where to begin. My lessons are specifically designed for those learners who are looking to get started from the ground up.
My lessons are designed to help introduce you to the guitar, help you become more comfortable with your instrument and to help you get off the ground and playing a few simple songs to get you started. I take pride in offering nicely laid out guitar lessons so that we can go through the basics one step at a time.

I like to ensure that my lessons are always kept as relaxed as possible. I find people learn best when in a comfortable learning environment and as such we will always take our time to digest the information being provided. We will progress at a rate that suits you specifically allowing you to grow and develop at your own pace.
There is a whole plethora of information out there on how to play the guitar, so I will guide you and provide you with all the tips and tricks I can to ensure we build great playing habits right from day one. Getting your foundations right as a beginner is absolutely crucial and developing bad habits in these early stages can be really tricky to overcome further down the line.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
The lessons I provided are specifically aimed for beginner guitarists. So if you have never played a guitar before or have only just gotten started then these are the lessons for you.
Introduction to Guitar, How to Tune it, Basic Chord Progressions
I've been teaching the guitar since 2004 and I have achieved a degree in music specializing in guitar. I have been fortunate enough to work with some great guitar players and have learnt a lot from these. I'm endorsed by Gordon Smith Guitars and I also work as a product demonstrator for lots of companies.
I have performed and toured with various bands across both the UK and parts of Europe. Having vast real world experience helped me grow massively as a musician and I am now ready to pass and share these skills with my students. I want to use my skills to help you establish good playing habits right from the start.
Thanks to the power of modern day technology I currently work with students from all different parts of the world including the USA. I love working with students from all walks of life and I will always take the time to get to know you individually. This means we will always be learning and working through material that I know you will enjoy.

I like to offer detailed and thorough guitar lessons. I will always provide you with resources that help you practice in between our lessons. I have a direct connection for my guitar audio for the online calls so that you can hear everything nice and clearly. I can also provide tablature and custom backing tracks for you.
Over the years I have invested much time and money in to my own education as a musician. I am now in a position to be able to share all the things I've learnt and to pass them on to my students. I will make sure you start off on the right foot and that we develop good practice and playing habits right from the very first lesson.
I have over 15 years teaching experience as well as a dedicated premise that I teach all my lessons from. This is suitable for all students interested in face to face lessons in my local area but also provides me with a great location to hose state of the art online lessons too. I have invested in my equipment to ensure we have the clearest video and audio quality possible for our sessions.

Here is some information to help you get prepared to take your online guitar lessons.
Speed Test, is a very useful tool as having a stable internet connection is one of the most important parts to these lessons. Here you will be able to see what your speeds are and we will only need a speed of 3mbps to have a stable enough connection for the lessons.
As well as a stable internet connection you will need to have access to some kind of electronic device that has a camera on it. This could be things like a laptop, tablet or a smartphone. Many things have cameras on them nowadays so once we have access to one of these you are ready to go.
Once you have a device ready to go, there are many services we can use to connect for the actual lessons. The most common and reliable services tend to be Zoom, Skype or Facetime for Apple device users. There are other options too so if these don't work for you for any reason please just let me know and we can go through other possible options together.
As a professional guitar teacher it is my job to help you get started with playing your instrument. I will teach you all of the things you will need to know in order to establish good fundamental skills so you can develop on these and grow into the guitar player you've always to be.

Lessons are £25 for a 1-hour lesson.
Lessons are provided online using services such as Zoom, FaceTime or Skype. There are others we can try but these tend to work fine for the majority of people.
I teach students of all ages 6+.
No you can attend lessons as and when you like. I would recommend one hour a week for the most consistent progress.
Any lessons cancelled within 48 hours can still be charged for. I am happy to reschedule cancelled lessons where possible.
