About Tolek Konior

Good teaching starts with a good student-teacher relationship. I value genuine connections with people and am curious to discover everyone’s musical preferences and ambitions. This helps me to create engaging and relatable lesson content.

My week is not complete unless I have made progress on a songwriting/composing project, practised various instruments and played with other people. My in-depth range of skills across the musicverse allows me to take a holistic approach to teaching without sacrificing attention to detail.

Most recently I studied Scottish education and pedagogy at the University of Edinburgh with the aim to teach in high schools, however, I stepped away from it as I found it wasn’t the right path for me. All the things I’ve learned during the PGDE are coming with me to inform my teaching practice.

What can you expect in your first lesson?
– A relaxed chat about goals, influences and preferences
– Check if we’re a good fit for each other
– If you already know what you want/need, we can dive straight into the topic!
