About Harrison Marsh

I’ve been teaching guitar for almost 20 years, and along the way I’ve had the chance to work on some projects I’m really proud of.

I wrote the 2019 Acoustic Guitar Syllabus for The University of West London, which is now used in guitar exams around the world, plus contributions and recording for classical, electric and Ukulele Syllabi. I’ve also written syllabi for The International School of Musicians and helped put together exam material for The Registry of Guitar Teachers, including Gordon Giltrap’s book Graded Giltrap.

Alongside that, I spent several years writing for Guitar Techniques Magazine, and earlier in my career for Guitar Tutor and Guitar Coach.

Although I’ve spent a lot of time on the examining and curriculum side of things, I still love teaching all forms of guitar one-to-one from a home studio environment. I teach a wide variety of students and subjects each week, but I specialise in working with adults, particularly on acoustic guitar.
