Nicole Kimmel, is a board-certified music therapist and music instructor passionate about helping individuals grow through the power of music. She earned her Bachelor’s in Music Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University with a concentration in voice and formal study in piano and guitar. Nicole has performed internationally in Hungary and at the Vatican, and brings both musical artistry and clinical skill into her work. Nicole has extensive experience providing music therapy services for children, teens, and young adults with Autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delays, and other developmental and emotional needs. Her work has included individual sessions, group programs, PPEC services, and school-based music therapy. In addition to her clinical work, Nicole has more than five years of experience teaching private music lessons in piano, guitar, voice, and drum set to students ages 4–18. She believes in meeting every individual right where they are and creating joyful, meaningful musical experiences that support communication, confidence, creativity, and emotional well-being.

My name is Michael Semark (Mike). I've been playing guitar for over 10 years and teaching privately and at a small music school in Reading since 2022. I am confident in teaching a diverse range of styles, from singer/songwriter-folk music on acoustic guitar to rock and metal on electric guitar, and am passionate about helping my students achieve their musical goals. I teach all levels, from absolute beginners (age 5+, unless requested otherwise, please get in touch!) to advanced guitarists (grade 8+, or any rock/metal/pop/jazz specialists, again, please get in touch!), and am confident in helping my students find their own unique voice on the instrument. I also teach music theory if you are interested in understanding the underlying mechanics behind music, as well as improvisation and composition, and ways to memorise and make sense of the guitar fretboard. I am DBS certified and a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors, and have taught over 2000 lessons to hundreds of students over the years. I also currently hold a 100% merit/distinction rate for students who are taking their Rockschool (RSL Awards) grade and/or performance exams. I'm currently based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and teach private 1-on-1 lessons from my teaching space at home; my main space is upstairs, but I can teach downstairs if you have accessibility requirements. Hi, I’m Jay. No matter what age you are, you can play the guitar, bass guitar or ukulele! If you can put in the time and commitment, I can guide you to being able to enjoy playing music. In my lessons my specialism is patience and a personalised approach. Whether you want to play just for your own pleasure, for performance, to be able to jam in a band, or to pass exams, I will work with you to help you to achieve your goals. This is my story. I began playing guitar as a child, my dad showed my my first chords and how to strum, then I started classical guitar lessons aged 10. I got my ABRSM classical guitar and theory grades 5 whilst in high school and went on to get a GCSE, an A-level and a degree in music. Despite my classical training my passion has always been for rock, pop and heavy metal music. I started teaching myself electric guitar in my teens and went on to play in several local goth, death and doom metal bands. In 2008 a friend of mine asked me if I would teach his young son to play guitar. It was an eye opening experience! I hadn’t realised how much I had taken my abilities as a musician for granted. I couldn’t believe how many aspects of playing, that I thought were so simple, were for a beginner incredibly hard. It made me realise that I had more to offer the world as a musician than I had thought before. As I result of this, in my early 30’s, I decided to work towards making music into my living rather than just a hobby. I began to fill in some of the gaps in my musical education. I started taking guitar lessons again and learned about improvisation and jazz by playing in some amateur jazz ensembles. Having only dabbled in the instrument before, I seriously took up bass guitar and discovered a deep love and satisfaction from playing the bass. To increase my confidence, I became a regular open mic performer. I gained grade 8 qualifications in bass guitar and electric guitar. I went back to classical guitar lessons and finally passed the classical guitar grade 8 exam, that I had failed previously. I even took up ukulele and drums. I became a full time musician in 2015, teaching guitar, bass, ukulele and drums in schools and just guitar, bass and ukulele at home. I also play guitar and bass in local bands and in the orchestra pit in theatres. Where could your story take you? Over the years I have seen many of my students discover and increase their confidence and ability in music. I am very mindful of how different people learn at different paces and have very different goals, strengths and weaknesses. I have developed a wide range of teaching strategies to suit a wide range of learners and I can’t wait to take you on your musical journey.

Oli has been playing music for over 30 years, and performed his first live gig aged 11. Since those early days, he has gone on to become a prolific guitarist, performer, composer and teacher. Based in his studio just outside Bath, he now shares his professional life between performing at functions and events, composing original music and teaching guitar to students of all abilities. Oli has a passion for all forms of music, particularly rock, blues and jazz. He holds a 1st class degree (BMus) in Music Performance from the prestigious BIMM Institute, where he specialised in jazz and music education. Oli can be heard playing with a range of different artists and bands as a session musician, as well as lead guitar in 50s RnB band Betty and The Bootleggers and as vocalist and guitarist in rock trio Eureka Station. Oliver teaches all styles and levels of guitar and music theory, specialising in blues, rock and jazz. I have a lot of experience teaching Music Technology/Production and music performance. I am also a professional freelance musician and regularly perform in venues throughout London and at functions and events in the UK.
