Music has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember, starting in Cagliari, Italy, where I was born and raised. During my formative years, I studied classical guitar and received private lessons in jazz guitar, which fueled my passion for modern styles. The music of Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Led Zeppelin, and Pat Metheny opened a window to the fascinating worlds of rock, jazz, and blues. Today, as a freelance session guitarist and guitar tutor, I have extensive experience in live performance, studio recording, session playing, and songwriting. I enjoy the versatility and creativity that comes with working across a wide range of genres. As a guitar teacher, I cater to beginners as well as intermediate and advanced students. My lessons blend practice and theory, ensuring that students not only learn how to play chords or songs but also understand how chords and scales work together. I have experience teaching both children and adults, and I hold an enhanced DBS check. I can also assist students who are preparing for grade examinations. I strive to make my lessons fun and interactive, always providing customised study materials tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student has just picked up the guitar, is at a more advanced level, or needs inspiration to develop their skills, I love teaching and find my greatest reward in seeing students achieve their goals. I offer discounts for bookings of five or more classes. There is an additional fee of £5 to £10 for lessons conducted at your home, depending on the distance I need to travel. I also teach the ukulele to beginners and intermediate players, and I provide transcriptions for acoustic and electric guitar, complete with tabs, standard music notation, and lyrics synchronised with the score. Please feel free to get in touch for a quote, and I can also provide examples of previous transcriptions. Music Qualifications & Achievements: Qualification in Music Theory – Conservatory of Music, Cagliari, Italy. Equivalent to grade 8 BA (Hons) in Graphic Arts – Academy of Fine Arts, Florence, Italy. A structured learning path (without the overwhelm)
Our guitar lessons use small targets that stack into real ability: clean sound, reliable timing, and confident performance in songs you actually want to play. It’s a clear journey, with regular review points to help you achieve your goals.
We set up posture, tuning, and the first chords. You’ll learn simple rhythm patterns and changes that make your first songs sound musical.
Next we refine fretting accuracy, strumming consistency, and timing with a metronome. We introduce practical theory so you understand chord progressions.
Finally we focus on repertoire, tone, and musicality: dynamics, fills, and improvisation. You’ll rehearse performance-ready endings and smooth transitions between sections.
Starter setup for your first lessons
Bring a reliable instrument and a simple practice routine. We’ll guide setup choices in the first session so you don’t waste money on the wrong gear—and we can recommend a local studio, if you prefer learning outside the home.
- Choose a comfortable acoustic guitar or electric guitar that stays in tune; we’ll check string height and suggest affordable string gauges. If you’re also playing bass, we’ll align setup and technique so the skills transfer cleanly.
- Bring a clip-on tuner, a few picks, and a small notebook; we’ll write a weekly practice plan and track what’s been taught.
- If you play electric, bring a small amp and cable; we’ll set levels for clean tone and reduce unwanted noise.

Enfield and the surrounding North London area offer a mix of community venues and arts spaces where live music is regularly programmed. Millfield Theatre is one of the most established venues in the borough, hosting concerts alongside theatre and touring performances. Nearby, Chickenshed provides a strong programme of music and performance, while Dugdale Arts Centre offers a varied arts schedule that can include live music events. Because Enfield sits within Greater London, many players also travel into central areas for a wider range of gigs. Combining local venues with occasional trips into the city gives you a much stronger view of live performance styles and standards.
Enfield has limited specialist guitar retail, so most players rely on nearby London music hubs for in-person shopping and repair services. A practical option is guitarguitar Camden, where you can compare guitars, pedals, and amplifiers side by side, while Yamaha Music London provides a central showroom for instruments and accessories. Many players also visit Denmark Street, London’s historic guitar retail area, where multiple shops and technicians are based in one location. If you already own a guitar, arranging a professional setup—adjusting action, strings, and intonation—can significantly improve playability before investing in new gear.
Enfield has connections to several well-known artists, particularly within modern British music. Amy Winehouse grew up in the borough and remains one of the most influential UK artists of her generation, with music that is highly useful for studying rhythm, phrasing, and chord-based accompaniment. Santan Dave is also closely associated with Enfield, representing the borough within contemporary UK rap and songwriting, offering useful lessons in structure, timing, and lyrical delivery. For students, these artists provide a practical contrast between styles—soul-influenced harmony and groove alongside modern production-led songwriting—both of which are relevant to today’s music landscape.
