Hello, my name is Chris and I’m a teaching professional based in Nottingham. I have years of experience and in my time I have taught one to one, in groups large and small and at schools and colleges. I teach all styles, ages and abilities. Each lesson is tailored to your needs. If you would like to go down a guitar grade route I teach the Rockschool and RGT syllabus and have a 100% pass rate on my students’ exams. I cover all aspects of learning from technique, theory, composition, improvisation, sight reading and more. Music, guitar and teaching are my passion and I always strive to make my lessons as enjoyable, interesting and tailored to individual needs as I can. I can do home visits or you are welcome to come to my studio in Nottingham city centre. When I’m not teaching guitar I’m an active live musician I play in bands and get the privilege of travelling across the country playing for people. Music Qualifications & Achievements: RGT Guitar Grade 8 and Associate Diploma with the London College of Music Playing to a few thousand people at gigs across the country, I still play live most weekends, it’s always an honour All my students who take exams have passed, never a fail and I’m incredibly proud of that
My name is Mark Leivers and I am a professional guitar teacher from Derby with a wealth of experience in teaching and performing. I started playing the guitar as a child and it has been my passion ever since. I have immersed myself in a variety of styles from classical to pop, from rock to reggae! This has allowed me to play with many different bands/artists which has helped me to strengthen my playing by incorporating many different styles and techniques. Whether you want to learn to play your favourite songs, work towards graded examinations or work on improving technique, I offer tuition in a friendly and engaging environment. All students are welcome from complete beginners to seasoned players, I tailor lessons to suit you and the type of player you want to become. While learning to play the guitar I can teach you how to read music and learn songs by ear which are invaluable tools for any musician! I can also teach you to improvise with other musicians which is an extremely fun skill to have while also being a key technique in any versatile guitar player’s arsenal. The guitar is an incredible instrument and one that is immensely rewarding to be able to play. Like learning any new skill, the guitar will be challenging at times but most importantly it will be fun, and at least for me, that’s the only reason I play!
Introductory lesson free! A typical weekly lesson lasts for 30 minutes. Hour lessons may also available on request. Opening Hours (by arrangement): Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 3pm to 9pm. Tuesday: 3pm to 6pm. Friday: 3pm - 7pm. I ask all of my clients to set up a calendar monthly Standing Order. A weekly payment option is available, though lessons are cheaper on a monthly basis. I’m able to manage payments easier this way. I have a simple form that you can take into your bank to set this up or I can provide the details needed if you use online banking. Price (30 minute lesson every week): £60 per calendar month. Price (1 hour lesson every week): £105 per calendar month. A flat rate of £20 per 30 minute lesson is also available. Multiple person combinations with discounts are available, just ask for details. Please note: – Parent or guardian supervision with children requested. – Minimum age is 7+ My home is equipped with indoor CCTV. Everything is kept confidential. I am a songwriter, composer, and musician based in Edinburgh who believes that learning music is a fun and useful skill that anyone can learn. I write and play in a variety of styles and instruments and besides composition and performance, I have also worked in music tech as an engineer at both music festivals and at renowned venues in Brighton and Edinburgh. As a composer, I have experience creating soundtracks for films, video games, and audiobooks. I have studied music at A level, Bachelor's, and now Master's level, and I have several years of teaching experience across various subjects. Hello, my name is Marcela and I am a patient and enthusiastic guitar (acoustic/electric) and ukulele tutor. I have taught guitar for three years, which includes individuals and small groups, both children and adults. We work on songs/pieces that you feel passionate about. Music theory, technique, scales, etc. happen as we work on THE SONGS. I believe that learning should be fun and making mistakes is a part of all learning. The lessons can be very flexible, depending on your needs. I provide all the materials for the lessons but we can use a handbook if you prefer. For online lessons, we can use an interactive platform to make the lesson time fun and efficient. You may want to learn guitar for enjoyment but if you are more technique and grades driven, please note that I’m most familiar with RGT exams (under London College of Music).
