I am an enthusiastic York based drum tutor and graduate from Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), with a First-Class Honours degree in Music. I have been teaching the drums for six years and am looking for new students who are interested and willing to develop new skills and learn a new instrument. I'm available for 1-2-1 drum lessons either in-person or online via Skype/Zoom. For my online lessons, I will be set up with a high-quality camera, a miked drum kit, and a vocal microphone for the best experience possible. Within lessons, we can dive into any different aspect of drumming you would like, whether this is grooves, fills, different styles or production techniques. I enjoy tailoring every lesson to the individual student. In addition, I am also a qualified, HCPC registered music therapist. I am a huge advocate of expressive therapy and allowing the learning of drums to develop you not only as a musician but also as a person.
My name is Liam Hardy and I have been playing drums for over 20 years. I began performing in a professional capacity in 2009 and since then I’ve been lucky enough to play a wide variety of gigs all over the UK and abroad. In my career as a performer I have toured, and continue to tour, the UK extensively in a variety of groups and acts. These gigs have been diverse and include concerts, festivals, weddings, ceilidhs, corporate events, parades and private functions. Some of the highlights over the years have been performing at Glastonbury Festival on the Avalon Stage, the Cambridge Folk Festival, Fairport Convention’s Cropredy Festival and Kendal Calling. I have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to perform abroad and have played at festivals in Borneo, Qatar, Croatia, Portugal and Spain. I have also performed at various sporting events, highlights being the 2023 Rugby World Cup in Paris and the Ashes test cricket series in Manchester. As well as live performance I have also had a lot of experience in recording studios. I was a member of folk rock band Blackbeard’s Tea Party between 2009 and 2023 and with them I recorded multiple albums, EPs and singles. I have also recorded as a session performer for many other local acts. I am passionate about drums and music in general and I believe that whether you’re a casual player just having a bit of fun or interested in formal music exams and grades, drumming is a great pastime to have. It exercises you both mentally and physically, enables you to have a deeper understanding of how music works and broadens the mind as a music listener. It can be a lifelong hobby and no matter how serious you are with it, there’s always something new to discover. In short, everybody should do it!
I’m Craig have over 35 years’ experience of performing on both acoustic and electronic drums (live and in studios) in the entertainments industry. I learnt my musical profession from meeting some of the best session drummers in the world, observing them perform at drum clinics and having had master classes. I also had the pleasure of attending a ‘Rhythm Drum Camp’ At Bath Spa University College. I will guarantee you results by developing your overall drumming skills. My past and present students have a long list of achievements, which range from drumming qualifications, further education at music colleges, playing in a live band to simply playing their drums at home and knowing that they have attained a higher understanding of the instrument. I do this by getting to know you and introducing a drum program that relates to your individual learning curve, this helps you develop at your own pace in a relaxed studio environment or at home. Music Qualifications & Achievements: For many years of living breathing music is my life. Attending numerous Leeds College Of Music developments courses, along with hundreds of gigs and live events, for clients such as Jamie Oliver, and The Marriott Group, also headlined at Matthews Street Festival in Liverpool an extremely prestigious to have been invited to perform at.

Also If music grades are something that you are interested in we can work together to enable you to pass your certificates. I have been drumming for the past twenty years in Yorkshire, London and Australia.
