About Wendy Tang
Mrs Wong graduated from The Education University of Hong Kong, well-trained in voice and flute. She was a Primary school teacher, teaching Music and Mathematics. She was choir conductor and held a recorder ensemble.
She studies voice with the international acclaimed soprano, Ella Kiang, and She performed in Marriage of Figaro, Elvira in Don Giovanni, Die Fledermaus, and Carmen, etc. She is the founder and conductor of “Hotpotters ac cappella”, and is frequently invited to be Judges in singing contests and kids talent show.
Being in education field for around 20 years, she taught flute, piano, singing, choir, theory and marching band in several famous schools. In addition, Wendy was first flutist to the Open-University Orchestra, and member of the Viva Flutist.
Over the years, Wendy has become interested in teaching music to young children, she gets the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2019 and she is a certified Kindermusik instructor. She has two daughters: her 12-year-old daughter got Distinction in ABRSM Cello Grade 8 exam in 2019 and got her DipABRSM. She got a music scholarship to support her studies and the 8-year-old daughter has reached Grade 8 in Trumpet playing.
Music Qualifications & Achievements:
She attained a Bachelor of Education (Hons)(Primary) from The Education University of Hong Kong.
She performed in various Opera and Musical such as Marriage of Figaro, Elvira in Don Giovanni, Die Fledermaus, Carmen, Les Miserables, etc. She was invited to go to Beijing to perform in a choir performance.
She is the founder and conductor of “Hotpotters ac cappella”.
She was first flutist to the Open-University Orchestra, and member of the Viva Flutist.
Wendy has a fruitful musical life, all these broaden her eyesight and enrich her life, so even her kids are active members of orchestras and ensemble. She wants to share the joy of music with the kids, and her musical experiences with her students, brighten up their life.
She emphasises Musical education to her kids. Music enlightens her kids’ life not only in the music aspect but also in the way they learn, their studies, their attitude, their behaviour, etc.
