About Vivek Oswal

My connection to the guitar, 15+ years, has always been rooted in a genuine drive to make music with others. For years, I wrote and performed with my band, Maya’s Grid (formerly The Malakar Experience). We released original tracks like ‘Flying Heavy,’ recorded live in a single-take studio session (Be Harmonic), both available on YouTube, and played at a few diverse venues in India. It was simply the honest pursuit of someone who genuinely loved the process of creating music. As I dived deeper into teaching as my profession, I brought that holistic philosophy with me. I understand and support that learning your favorite songs gives you the musical vocabulary, and learning how to compose helps you understand how to use it. Whether you are strumming a famous chord progression or writing your first original melody, that intersection is where the real explosion in your learning tapestry happens. Every student naturally benefits from both. Teaching is my main profession, so I take my responsibility to your progress very seriously and treat our time together with absolute respect. At the same time, my teaching style is intentionally moderate and grounded. My goal is simply to provide clear, reliable instruction at a steady, comfortable pace so you can build a musical vocabulary you genuinely enjoy using. “YOUR GROWTH IS AFTERALL MY MAIN INTEREST.”

Cancelation & Rescheduling Policy

Because teaching is my livelihood, I reserve a dedicated time slot just for you each week. To keep scheduling smooth and fair, my policy mirrors standard platform guidelines:

  • 24 Hours’ Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours before our scheduled time. We will find a new slot, and you will not be charged.

  • Late Cancellations (Under 24 hours): Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the lesson rate.

  • No-Shows: Missed lessons without any prior notice will be charged at the full 100% lesson rate.

  • The “Life Happens” Pass: I know that genuine emergencies and sudden illnesses happen. Every student gets one penalty-free “late cancellation pass” every three months for exactly these situations.

  • If I Cancel: If I ever need to cancel a lesson due to an emergency or internet outage, your lesson will naturally be fully credited or rescheduled to a time that suits you perfectly.
