About

About

I’m a seasoned music teacher, performer, and composer with close to two decades of experience in the music industry. I hold a BMus (Hons) from Chichester University (UK), an RSL (Rockschool) Music Teacher’s Diploma, and I’m a registered educator with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) – reflecting my deep commitment to music as both an art and a craft, and to upholding professional teaching standards in South Africa.

I offer in- person lessons in the deep south of Cape Town. Whether you’re based locally in either city or joining from anywhere in the world, you can expect the same high-quality, personalised approach.

But more than that—I’m passionate about music education as a powerful tool for self-expression, emotional growth, and creative thinking. Studies show that music education supports brain development, emotional regulation, and even empathy. I believe every person has a unique musical voice, and I’m here to help you uncover yours.

I specialise in teaching kids and adults who are introspective, creative, and a little offbeat—the kind of people who see the world through a slightly different lens. Whether you’re a quiet thinker, a passionate dreamer, or just someone who marches to their own beat, you’re welcome here.

I take pride in offering individualised lessons tailored to your goals, pace, and personality. My patient and encouraging approach helps demystify music, making even complex concepts feel simple and approachable.
