About Gergo Daroczi

With Gergo, you will learn to play & reconnect with who you are through music, guidance and deep personal transformation.

Gergo is an experienced Professional Private Music Tutor and Music Well-being Mentor with over a decade’s experience in teaching how to play the guitar, piano, singing, write songs and learn about music technology and music production for complete beginners to intermediate learners from ages 5+. One to one sessions are delivered in a fun and interactive way to help build confidence in playing, performing, understanding music theory, vocal techniques and original composition skills.

The music industry can feel like a place where musicians are judged and validation is something a lot of people look to get from an audience. Gergo helps people express their emotions, learn about themselves through music, increase their self-esteem and to validate themselves giving them the power they already have within using his compassionate mentoring style he developed during his Youth Support Worker years working with YMCAs.

As an independent musician, the skills Gergo has gained from playing with other professionals, studies at universities and other courses such as Estill Voice Training allows him to tailor lessons to individuals’ needs to armour his students with knowledge and technique.

ISM registered (Independent Society of Musicians)

As a self-employed Professional Music Tutor, Gergo believes in connecting with people on a deeper level practicing a compassionate and motivating teaching style that helped to get not just the best out of his learners for over a decade, but his first professional and personal award in 2021 at the YMCA England & Wales Youth Matters Awards for being the Young Worker of The Year during lockdown where Gergo chose to continue working to support communities by setting up his own home recording studio and showing people how they can do it too via online lessons.

As seen on BBC, Gergo was one of 5 workers who BBC Bitesize Careers met with to create a short film on their jobs and the impact they have had on young people in the UK. (Please message Gergo to watch the video as links don’t work in profile biographies)

Lesson delivery is mainly focused online though Gergo also offers house visits within 10 +/- miles in Swansea, SA5 for an additional £5 travel cost per lesson.

Experience
With over 10 years of experience in not just teaching but also using music as an engagement tool to support at risk children, young people and adults with additional learning needs, Gergo excels in delivery and has 20 years of experience in composing, recording and playing live professionally in bands, duos, trios & solo projects such as weddings, hen parties and other private acoustic events.

Your lesson plan
Prior committing to block lessons, a FREE 30 minute consultation session is advised to ensure learners are happy with the lesson plan tailored to them!

Bonus
As an addition to teaching how to play instruments and singing, Gergo offers to help learners how to setup their own home recording studio and shares industry standard knowledge after studying audio engineering & record production for 5 years and being around artists for over two decades.
