The Carribbean Regals Steelband (June 2010 – Present)

The Caribbean Regals is a group made up of myself on bass, a Double Pan player providing the harmony (Chords) and the business owner Sofia Mills on the lead Steel Pan with a drum machine used to keep the rhythm. We are but a small part of a extensive network of musicians that travel all over the U.K providing entertainment for all different types of functions to include weddings, parties, festivals etc. The main styles of music covered are Reggae and Calypso, but we always strive to put together a very varied set to accommodate different tastes and are always willing to take requests. A common approach we operate is to take well known pop songs and adapt them within a Reggae or Calypso flavour.

We also offer workshops in the Steel Pan providing a enlightening educational journey into its historical origins and how to practicably approach this specialist instrument, giving them the opportunity to play one for themselves.
