About

About

My musical journey started at the age of 5 and since then it has taken me to places I never thought it would. Starting as a classical piano student I went through Music Theory and Harmony lessons, History of Music, Solfege and then the ABRSM grading system. At a later age, I decided I wanted to start learning the guitar which became my passion in life. I moved from Cyprus to the UK and studied Professional Musicianship in Guitar Performance at BIMM (University of Sussex) and developed my skills as a modern guitarist and more importantly as an all-around musician. During my time there I had the amazing opportunity to learn about Performance, Music Business, Production, Songwriting, Music Teaching along with other interesting subjects that helped me develop as a Musician. Whilst developing my skills there I spent my time networking with other brilliant musicians and professionals in the industry and managed to form an alternative rock band in my spare time. As a band, we managed to play in a lot of Brighton and London venues, create and record an EP and two singles and promote ourselves in the area. Moving forward, I decided to extend my studies and obtain an MA in Music and Sonic Media at the University of Sussex. The course provided me with research abilities and skills in subjects such as Production, Composing for Media and Sound Environments. I have experimented with different composing and production tools either in the studio or as a field recordist. Later on, I shifted between the Music Industry and Retail and managed to finish an Internship in a PR company, work as a Freelance Peripatetic Guitar Teacher and as a Music Streaming Executive.
