Hello, I’m Chris, a dedicated music teacher and professional musician with a passion for guiding students on their musical journey. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music (Jazz) from Leeds Conservatoire and a Master’s in Electronic and Computer Music from the University of Leeds, I bring over a decade of experience as a professional function musician and educator. My versatile background spans jazz, heavy metal, and electronic music contexts, providing me with a well-rounded perspective to offer tailored instruction in bass guitar and double bass. I believe in instilling a strong foundation in music theory while nurturing students’ individual interests and fostering a love for music. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to help you unlock your musical potential.

I have over a decade of teaching experience, during which I’ve had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. My teaching journey began during my time at Leeds Conservatoire. Since then, I’ve worked as a private music tutor, offering personalised lessons in bass guitar and double bass to students of all ages and abilities.

My approach is student-centered, focusing on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and develop their musical abilities.
