Bee Zander

I am the Beachside Guitar tutor. I teach guitar, ukulele, baritone uke and bass to adults, children, tweens, teens — anyone on a musical journey. My music students find that they express themselves confidently and perform with ease as they build skills necessary for long-term musicianship. You will make your favorite tunes come alive, make dreams come true, and bring joy to the people around you through your music.

A love of music opens many doors.

I was called to the creative life as my father shared his formidible record collection and brought me concert-going, and my mother shared her deep appreciation of Mozart and chamber music. In New York State on Long Island I sang in choir, studied piano and guitar formally, and attended and was counselor at Fidel School for the Creative Arts.

In Manhattan I performed in three notable bands, The Lost Souls (first wave punk band), David Peel’s band (known for unique downtown New York style rock), and Barshaw & Zee (psychedelic folk duo, Hotel Chelsea, NYC). Diverse influences include jazz, folk and blues which naturally led to 60’s and 70’s rock ‘n’ rock stylings, as well as playing in classic country, bluegrass and singer-songwriter genres.

I’ve recorded and gigged in Bee & Boo. This led over the years to my receiving Eastern Florida State Collage Citizen Scholar accolades; I was Assistant Music Teacher as well as honor student at EFSC. • I worked in Jack Starr’s Blues de’Villeblues rock band and recorded an album with Starr. • I was in the rock consortium Space Coast Harley-Davidson house band; • Played at folk festivals in Florida as the Americana group Bee and the Hive . • I recorded a few records with singer-songwriter band Island Mountain Band. • I co-managed and sang harmony in metal band Burning Daylight. • I work now in https://youtube.com/@sandalwood_band Sandalwood Band and the Sässy-Vërve trio. • I founded and manage Jam Melbourne Beach, the inclusive Facebook music sharing group.
