Teaching Approach: My approach to teaching has always been professional, fun, and easy-going. I believe it is of the utmost importance to allow the student to learn and develop their skills in order for them to be able to express themselves freely through drumming. My main goal with my students (particularly novices) is to help them gain a full and solid foundation of the fundamentals of drumming which will only help them grow and expand their knowledge as their progress develops. To the more intermediate and advanced students – my approach would be more personalized from the off-set. We would really try and get to grips with where the student is at and where they want to be and base their tuition around that using appropriate study and practice. One thing is for sure, no matter what the level of student or current ability – the student will always be able to progress at their own pace, there is no time limit to certain concepts or subjects and we will make sure you understand and learn the best of your ability at all times! I believe in freedom of expression and I feel my job and duty as a tutor is to provide my students with the knowledge and tools for them to express themselves freely not only as drummers but as musicians. We all have a voice, we can all be heard!
