The blogs are listed in no particular order and cover a huge range of different aspects of the guitar. Everything from vintage guitar equipment, guitar lessons, reviews, interviews, news. We have written a few lines about what you can find on each blog and why they are must-read blogs for all guitarists.

Finding reliable, high-quality and interesting resources is a crucial part of a guitarists journey to self-development. Guitar Chalk (guitarchalk.com) is the resource library we all dream about as teachers and students. Full of helpful and practical resources that cover a wide range of different aspects relating to guitar equipment, learning, recording and playing Guitar Chalk is simple to search and use.

Guitar Noise (guitarnoise.com) is a great blog if you are looking for Reviews or Lessons & damn they do both very well! The website was voted as the best online resource for guitar lessons, as voted by our guitar students. It is free to join and has a whole host of content for the reader or player to access at the touch of a button. It also features regular podcasts which is something not many guitar blogs are doing these days which in the opinion of our guitar students is great!

Killer Rig (killerrig.com) is the place to go to find detailed information about guides, insight and reviews that will help you find, play and maintain your gear and build skill for years to come! Covering everything from string choices to amp settings, the blog is suitable to learners of all abilities and packed full of useful content to help you understand the sometimes confusing world of guitar gear.

The True Vintage Guitar Blog (truevintageguitar.com/blog/) does exactly what it says on the tin. Voted by our users as one of the best blogs on the internet for articles on classic guitar equipment and vintage guitars. With in-depth articles exploring the history and impact of a guitar, the blog is supported by beautiful photography of the equipment. A must read if you are interested in vintage guitar equipment. Currently 11,000 Facebook followers.

The Truth in Shredding (truthinshredding.com blog was voted the best guitar blog for shredders. Our guitar community loved that the blog features so many different artists from around the world all coming together with a love for the shred! With nearly 6,000 Facebook followers and over 11 million views, Truth in Shredding has built up a significant following and community of guitarists itself. Even if shredding isn't your thing just make sure you check out some of their blog posts and your jaw will drop at some of the talents on show.

Classical Guitar (classicalguitar.org) has been voted as one of the best blogs for classical guitarists out there. This site provides up to date news, lessons & very useful tips and tricks for any beginner or ready established player. Don't be put off by the black and white presentation of this website as what it lacks in colour it definitely makes up in content! Classical Guitar have nearly 9,000 followers on Facebook.

Voted as the "holy grail of guitar reviews" as one guitarist commented Guitaarr (guitaarr.com) is a fantastic equipment review based blog. Giving you important tips on buying yourself or if you are buying for someone else, whether you want to buy a new guitar or find your next guitar pedal this blog more than has you covered.

The Guitar Teaching Blog (theguitarteachingblog.blogspot.com) was voted by our community of guitar teachers as one best online resources aimed at helping guitar teachers. It was described as "one of the most important and interesting blogs" on the internet by a professional guitar teacher.

This blog discusses and gives advice on as a teacher what you should be teaching your students and provides a lot of example lessons that Matthew (Blog owner) has gone through himself. A great blog for guitar teachers and aspiring guitar teachers to read and follow.

The TrueFire (truefire.com/blog/) blog provides really good lesson content and doesn't just focus on one genre. There is a whole host of genres from Jazz to Blues on show. It was voted as the best online resource for beginner students and has nearly 130,000 Facebook followers.

Our guitar student community recommended Guitar Habits (guitarhabits.com) as one of the best blogs to find songs/exercises to learn outside of lessons. This blog goes through many habits as a guitar player you might come across and how to fix them. This is alongside free guitar lessons, exercises and song recommendations to help guitarists develop. Guitar Habits currently have 6,800 Facebook followers and 3,500 Twitter followers.

Great articles, interesting topics and a guitar custom shop - what more could you want! My Rare Guitars (myrareguitars.com) was voted best blog for intermediate to advanced guitarists to read. Our guitar students loved the array of different topics written about. Posts are really detailed and ideal for geeky guitar students who want a good meaty read about vintage equipment or pick up some tips on improving soloing.

The metal for life blog is a blog run by Mike Chlasciak who is best known as the guitarst of "Halford", which is the band led by Rob Halford of Judass Priest. In this comprehensive blog, Mike gives his thoughts on many different aspects of guitar playing and is a very interesting read. He also provides many YouTube based lessons for any of you aspiring metal guitarists out there. Voted best blog written by a professional guitarist Metal for Life Blog (metalforlife.blog) stands apart from other guitar blogs.

The second classical guitar based blog recommend by our guitar students and another cracker of a blog! Voted best classical guitar lesson resource This Classical Guitar (thisisclassicalguitar.com) has extremely high-quality classical guitar lesson videos. In addition, it also contains some great classical performance videos, perfect for inspiration and enjoyment. This Classical Guitar currently has just under 10,000 Facebook Followers.

Voted best guitar buyers aid by our guitar students Guitar Fella (Buzz Harmony (alternative)) has a library of guitar equipment reviews. Perfect for helping you to find the right guitar for you Guitar Fella is a must read if you are in the hunt for a new axe. The platform also offers guitar lessons and advice.

The Leaning Guitar Now Blog (Learning Guitar Now) was voted best blog for blues guitarists. They loved the quality of the content on the website, with high-quality guitar tuition videos as well as some great reviews of equipment. If you are into acoustic blues or 70's blues rock this site has you covered.

The Unquie Guitar Blog (uniqueguitar.blogspot.com) was put forward by several students for being a really interesting read when it came to unusual guitar brands. Written by Marc O'Hara the blog shares his wealth of experience on different guitars.

Electric Herald (www.electricherald.com) is a blog focused on the construction of guitars and was voted by our guitar students as the best resource for guitar maintenance & build. If you have ever felt interested in building your own guitar this website has a post on every aspect of the build process. Really positive reviews of this blog given by our students, both as a good read and practical advice.

Our guitar students loved the photos of guitars on the Deadeye Guitars (deadeyeguitars.blogspot.co.uk). It was recommended to us by some of our teenage guitar students who really liked the metal guitars featured in the blog & enjoyed logging on to see the new guitars photos included. As one student described it as the "Tinder of guitars", as he scrolled down the page going "nah, nah, ah wait this one looks great"!

String Kick (stringkick.com) is a fantastic, easy to use lesson resource full of great guides and insights for guitar players of all abilities. You can learn everything from barre chords and strumming patterns right up to playing by ear and music theory. If you can imagine it, these guys probably have a lesson about it. It's a one stop shop for students and teachers alike.

If you’ve ever wanted to get started with Jazz guitar but don’t know where to start, this is a great online resource. Jazz Guitar Online (jazzguitar.br) even offer you a free eBook just for visiting the website. Its jam packed with chords, licks, lessons and everything jazz!

Reverb is fast becoming a paradise for the gear geeks among us, though most of us are regulars on the site for their buy and sell sections as we hunt for the latest toy for our collection, they also have a great blog which is full of fantastic news, reviews, gear history, demos and so much more. If you like reading about new and old gear alike, check this blog out. The Reverb blog (reverb.com/news) is jam packed with tips, tricks, reviews, news and everything else to encourage your inner guitar geek.

StewMac provide luthier tools and guitar parts galore but for the budding luthiers or techs out there, the StewMac blog (stewmac.com) is a bible for guitar maintenance. If you want to learn how to refinish a guitar or change tuning pegs, you can find it all here. They let everyone in on the trade secrets of the guitar building world. If you’ve ever wanted to customize an existing guitar or you’ve been curious about learning how things work so you can build your own, this resource will see you through.

Eddies Guitar’s is actually a store based in the USA, but the blog (eddiesguitars.com/blog) is a guitarists paradise. They post regular write ups and high res photos of some of the most stunning, high end guitars you could possibly imagine. You will find some gorgeous guitar photos here, it’s a great collection of high end dream guitars.

Guitarz (guitarz.blogspot.com) is the original and longest running guitar blog out there. It’s been serving the guitar community since 2002 and is full of fun articles such as “The Strangest Guitars on Craiglist” and some interesting eBay builds. It’s the home of everything weird and wonderful.

Jazz is one of the most complex styles to learn on guitar so it’s no surprise to find that fantastic resources to learn this style are few and far between. Fortunately, Jazz Guitar Lessons (jazz-guitar-licks.com/blog) is one of the great ones. It’s full of lessons and eBooks to take you from amateur to jazz pro.
