About Victoria Stubbs
Victoria Stubbs holds a master’s degree in Piano Performance and Keyboard Collaborative Arts from The University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, studying piano with Mme. Gwendolyn Koldofsky and Alan L. Smith.
She has music directed, coached vocalists, performed, arranged and composed music on both coasts. Southern California credits include: Pasadena Playhouse, Long Beach Playhouse, La Mirada Civic Light Opera, Orange County Opera, The Odyssey Theater in Santa Monica. Music teaching experience in Los Angeles area at St. Francis High School and the Yamaha Music School for young children in Glendale, CA, which she started, taught, and managed for 5 years. Maine credits include: Ogunquit Playhouse, Maine State Music Theater, and Good Theater in Portland, ME.
Victoria was hired to teach public school at Portland Arts & Technology High School in September 2000, building the contemporary music program which focuses on performance, songwriting, music theory, and recording arts. Recently retired in June 2023, she taught the program for 22 years and was named 2023 Maine Music Teacher of the Year.
Teaching piano and vocal coaching to all ages and levels and musical styles for 40+ years, she has earned high acclaim as a teacher and performer.
