“Having self-taught drums for the last 10 years, there are some thing I can pick up quickly and do fairly well, and other skills that one might consider fundamental that are far from as strong as they could/should be at this point. I also play for fun, not grades. While I've not had any other teachers I've found Tom's style to work well - the lessons flex and adapt to needs - and if I'm finding something more challenging then it's not pushed, which keeps it all quite fun. The mix of grade pieces (as a means of benchmarking) along with rudiments and other technique-based exercises works well for me. ~11 months in and I feel I've come a long way in a short time.”
