Sofia Douklia

I hold a BA in Preschool Education from the Department of Educational Science and Early Childhood Education (University of Patras) and an MA in Music Education from Kingston University, London. I’m currently a PhD researcher in Music Education and Cognitive Psychology (University of Patras). I’m a professional singer with an international career spanning over 12 years, performing worldwide. I also have over 13 years of experience as a vocal and piano teacher in British schools and offer lessons to students of various ages and levels.

I hold a Rockschool Grade 8 Vocals qualification and prepare students for graded music examinations across levels. My teaching approach emphasizes creativity, musical expression, and the development of strong foundational skills within a supportive learning environment. My academic work focuses on integrating music into early childhood education to enhance cognitive development and early mathematical thinking.
