About Simone Collins
Having studied both the piano and electronic organ and being a huge fan of rock music, the Rockschool piano and keys syllabus has been something I have happily embraced since it became available in Australia – and my students have been loving it too! I also assisted my daughter to complete a Rockschool grade 8 drum exam, which helped her earn an AMEB Gold Award.
So far I have had students successfully sit Rockschool piano and keys exams through to Grade 5. I have had students successfully sit higher level exams on the organ, with a 98% score for a Grade 8 exam, and top score in the state for an Associate Level Diploma, which earned the student the “Dux Artium” award and myself the Top Teacher Award. I have successfully assisted students to gain competitive entry to tertiary studies at the WA Academy of Performing Arts.
I have previously been an Accredited member of the West Australian Music Teachers Association, and am the founder of the WA Music Education Network.
