Being able to play the guitar is one of the greatest life long hobbies, and finding the right tutor can be the difference between being stuck at the start, struggling to work your way through Youtube tutorials and actually making meaningful consistent progress.

My name’s Shaun Ratcliffe, I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years and have taught hundreds of students how to play. I studied music for 10 years gaining a national diploma in music performance whilst also completing guitar and music theory grades on the side. I’ve been teaching for 10 years now, during that time I’ve honed a style that is patient, encouraging, and results-driven whilst making all my lessons tailored to the students individual goals. Whether you just want to learn to play your favorite songs, take your guitar grades, polish up on your technique or learn to write songs, the lessons will be completely focused on you and your goals.

Learning to play the guitar should be the highlight of your week and many of my students say it is for them. My lessons are relaxed and fun, I always say “as long as you learnt something and had a good time then I’ve done my job”. Music is my life and to be able to pass the skills on to other people is the greatest gift I could ever have ask for.

My lessons are taught from my home studio for people who are local and I also provide online lessons on zoom if needed.
