About

About

”Anyone who has a voice can sing” is my motto. Whether you sing in the choir, on stage or in the shower, whether professional or beginner, what age you are, singing has a positive effect on your mood and health.

Lesson structure (online on Zoom): You can bring songs of any genre and we work on it together, either without accompaniment or with piano/karaoke version. Since voice is something incredibly individual, my approach is based on the singer and his/her goals, though l want to share a basic knowledge as the tool for how voice works.

The warm-up is key, removing tensions and the opening of the voice is the basis. I refer to classical vocal training for the development of virtuosity and connection of the registers, further exercises from speech therapy and functional voice training are also part of the lessons, and for those of you who are interested, music theory and solfège, but overall the musical experience and FUN FACTOR is a big part of it!

Born in Austria, I started out to participate in semi-professional productions as a dancer/singer, I already followed my passion for dance for a while before that. I studied for 3 years musical theatre in Vienna with a final examination in front of the Federated Theatrical Companies (Dance, Acting, Singing) and performed on several professional stages in Vienna, Austria and Wiesbaden and Düsseldorf in Germany for a few years while I started to sing with bands in my spare time, this sparked my interest in studying vocal jazz.

I studied in the Conservatorium in Maastricht, Netherlands where I finished with a bachelor degree in Vocal Jazz. Meanwhile I started teaching in Aachen for over 10 years and surroundings, where I met my husband. Together we moved to England for 12 years as self-employed. My daughter was born there and now we moved back to Vienna with my family, so I only offer online teaching at the moment.

Working with children opened my eyes to how much fun needs to weave into any sharing of knowledge, I am working on my own method now to foster this experience into working with any student age.

My professional experiences: Various musical theatre productions such as Grease in Düsseldorf, Sunset Boulevard in Wiesbaden, rock, funk and pop bands. Over 10 years of teaching experience of vocal lessons, dance classes and leading choirs especially in Aachen, Germany. We are also working on independent projects within my family. Through working with my daughter I became interested in teaching children, and started studying the Kodàly Method as a hobby, which is particularly suitable for children.

I had several years of singing lessons with Sabine, first individual lessons and later in a choir. Sabine herself has a great voice, accompanies on the keyboard and is a very good singing teacher. In addition, she is extremely likeable and lovable and the lessons with her are fun.
