Rivers Wiseman

Rivers is a local cellist and teacher in the city of Bentonville. He performs regularly with many different organizations such as the University of Arkansas’s Chamber Orchestra and the Bentonville HS Chamber Orchestra. He has performed solo with the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas as well as multiple fundraising events for the Walton Arts Center and SoNA. Rivers was the 1st chair Cellist during the 2023 audition All-State Clinic and performance and attended the prestigious Eastern Music Festival during the summer. He uses a very specific teaching style, one formatted around careful improvement of one’s skills. Here are key points in his teaching philosophy.

-Tailors teaching to the needs and aspirations of the student

-Uses Suzuki books as well as selections from other works such as Feulliard.
