Paul Youngs

Paul is a confident and enthusiastic drum tutor who has been regularly teaching for fifteen years. He teaches all levels and is familiar with Rockschool, ABRSM and Trinity Rock and Pop grades. Paul himself has Rockschool Grade 8 Drums (Distinction) and Grade 5 ABRSM Music Theory (Distinction).

As well as many years of teaching privately, Paul taught for four years at the Mashrek Academy of Music in Amman as one of its founding faculty members. MAM is one of Jordan’s most highly-regarded music academies, established and directed by acclaimed pianist Iyad Sughayer. Paul also wrote three educational drum books for Music Whale, another music centre in Amman, which now serve as their drum curriculum. With experience of living overseas, he is familiar with teaching those for whom English is a second language.
