I embarked on my musical journey at the age of 6 when I first started learning the piano. Since studying music at university in 2014, I have taught a wide range of music subjects, from music theory, composition, to aural skills.

Currently, I am affiliated with the Royal College of Music’s Teaching Service as a music tutor and serves as an official examiner for the Cambridge IGCSE Music Exam. I obtained my master’s in composition with distinction at the Royal College of Music (No.1 by QS World Ranking, 2023) and undergraduate music degree with 1st-class honours at the University of Hong Kong. Currently, I am completing the last year of my doctorate in composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (No.1 by Guardian Ranking, 2023).

I am passionate about music and is committed to helping students achieve their musical goals in every possible way. So, if you are looking to take music theory exams, improve academic music grades (IGCSE, GCSE, A Level, IB, AP), develop your aural skills, explore the art of composition, learn about music softwares (Sibelius, Dorico, Logic Pro), write your music essays, then I probably have something for you. I have extensive experience teaching on Zoom, Skype, and Teams, and am fully equipped to provide an exceptional learning experience.

A distinguished composer in my own right, I have been shortlisted to represent the UK in the ISCM World New Music Days (Sound and Music) and written works for prestigious bodies worldwide, including the Bloomsbury Festival (London) and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Besides composing, I am also an avid conductor. You can find out more about my professional career here.
