About Nathan Hayward
Hello, my name is Nathan Hayward and I have been teaching piano and violin for over twenty years. I have taught with several established and well regarded organisations including the Bromley Youth Music Trust and Kent Music, in primary and secondary schools in Kent, London and more recently in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
I teach classical piano up to grade 8 and also jazz piano and am the author of three jazz piano books published by “Fundamental Changes” called “100 Modern Jazz Piano Licks”, “Beginner Jazz Piano Soloing” and “Intermediate Jazz Piano Soloing”. I have a degree in music (jazz) with first class honours. I am also an experienced performer having played many and various jazz piano gigs. Songwriting is also something I do and am happy to help people develop their skills in this area.
I am happy to teach students of all ages and either from home, online and will do visits if the location is near by.
