About Megan Roe
Megan Roe is a multi-instrumentalist and qualified teacher dedicated to empowering new musicians and enriching the lives of all through the power of music. Beginning her musical journey as a guitarist aged 7, music has played an important part of her life ever since.
Megan studied at Leeds College of Music and graduated in 2017 with a degree in (BA) Popular Music.
Performing as a guitarist in award-winning trio ‘J Frisco’ opened her eyes to the transformative power of music, sparking a desire to share this passion with others. This led her to pursue a formal education in music, culminating in a teaching qualification that equipped her with the necessary tools and techniques to engage students effectively.
Megan gained Qualified Teacher Status in 2021 and was appointed at Flakefleet Primary school where she led the school and staff band.
Megan then took over management of the Fleetwood Academy of Modern Music where she worked closely with FAMM founder, Francis Ajiteru.
In 2024, Meg launched the Craven Academy of Modern Music in Skipton where she is now based. Meg performs with acoustic duo ‘Lost In Eve’ and plays drums for ‘The Bluesouls’ and ‘Bertie and the Signs’.
