About	Hello! My name is Maya Winkel and I am a classically trained cellist! I have been playing cello for 12 years and hold a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College in Decorah Iowa in music performance. I would love to work with beginners all of the way up to advanced cellists, and anybody in between. My teaching style is exploratory but also direct, I like to show my students the technique but allow them to be artistically themselves in their own journey. As a beginner cellist many years ago I was Suzuki trained and that is my preferred method of teaching as well as books to work out of. If you have any questions about where your student should start in the Suzuki progression I would love to offer a recommendation! I look forward to hearing from you and starting this journey together!
