About Antonio Lusi

I am Lusi, a professional bassist, composer, recording artist, and music educator with an international background and a lifelong dedication to musical excellence. Born in Avezzano, Italy, in 1986, I have built my career around performance, advanced musical training, artistic research, and high-level teaching.

My education combines academic depth and real-world experience. I studied at Music Academy Europe (Bologna), completed advanced programs with Berklee College of Music (Online), and trained through Rock School London pathways, while continuously refining my craft through masterclasses and professional mentorships with internationally renowned musicians. This dual approach—formal education and hands-on experience—shapes the way I teach and perform today.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with world-class artists and participated in international recording projects that span rock, fusion, contemporary instrumental music, and modern songwriting. My productions have featured globally respected musicians such as Gregg Bissonette, Carl Verheyen, Dave Weckl, Fabrizio Bosso, and James Senese. These collaborations reflect not only artistic credibility, but also a deep understanding of studio dynamics, arrangement, groove development, and professional musicianship.

As a bassist, I specialize in electric bass performance, advanced technique, groove architecture, improvisation, harmony, and modern rhythmic concepts. My artistic identity merges precision and expression—balancing solid foundational technique with creativity and musical personality. I strongly believe that the bass is not just a supporting instrument, but a strategic pillar in sound design, ensemble balance, and emotional impact.

Teaching is not simply part of my career—it is a mission. I work with students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians preparing for professional pathways. My teaching philosophy is based on three core pillars:

• Technical mastery with structured progression
• Creative development through improvisation and stylistic exploration
• Musical awareness, including harmony, rhythm, and listening skills

Each lesson is tailored to the individual student. I design personalized growth strategies that combine technique, repertoire, theory, groove training, and performance mindset. Whether the goal is hobby development, conservatory preparation, live performance confidence, or professional recording work, I build a clear roadmap with measurable progress.

In addition to instrumental training, I integrate studio knowledge, music production insights, and real-world industry perspective into my teaching approach. Students learn not only how to play, but how to think like musicians.

My objective is simple yet ambitious: to help every student unlock their artistic identity, strengthen their technical foundation, and build the confidence to express themselves authentically through music.

If you are looking for structured growth, professional guidance, and a dynamic learning experience rooted in real industry expertise, I would be honored to work with you.
