About Kate Cubley

I am a passionate advocate for singing for fun, for wellness and to bring happiness and joy into the space you’re in. I have dedicated my career to vocal performance, coaching, and research. My journey has led me to study with esteemed tutors at institutions including the University of Sheffield, Stockholm University, Cardiff Metropolitan University, and De Montfort University. As an Associate Lecturer at Voice Study Centre, I specialize in Voice Pedagogy, Voice Health, Singing for Health, and Performance Coaching, mentoring voice teachers and researchers on their own academic journeys.

As a performer, I’ve performed with choirs at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, and St Paul’s Cathedral, as well as recording music and working as a solo session singer. I currently perform with The Baker Street Belles, bringing vintage harmonies to audiences across the UK. I also compose, arrange, and direct for the community choir MicWire and have written film music, including the award-winning The Slayers (2016). I work a lot with performance anxiety and resilience, helping clients to find confidence, calm and clarity in their delivery.

My research focuses on singers with allergies and functional breathing strategies for vocalists. With a Level 7 coaching qualification, I regularly mentor voice coaches, creative professionals, corporate clients, and business start-ups. I’m a certified CoreSinging® Teacher, have completed Estill Levels 1–3, and am an active member of leading voice organizations in the UK. I love working with vocalists and hope to meet you soon.
