About

About

My name Is Joshua Johnson and I am a fully trained pop vocalist, performer, guitarist and singer songwriter. I have graduated from Leeds College of music in 2018 finishing with a 1st class degree in pop vocals and performance, which has allowed me to adapt a wide range of skills within the music industry.

Examples of this would be performing all around the country as the lead vocalist in various original and professional cover bands, gaining a lot of experience on how to control and adapt your voice and entertain a crowd with high energy and confidence. Another example would be performing in the Leeds contemporary choir during my time at Leeds University, where we would perform at many large venues in front of high capacity crowds including Wembley in London where we performed alongside Big artists such as Boy George, UB40 and Misha Paris.

Teaching Approach:

During our vocal lessons we can focus on enhancing your voice to its full potential and incorporate how to adapt it to your preferred style and genre.

I can also help you with the performing element which is a big part of singing as a whole, through training and techniques I have acquired over many years of my own experience, which have helped me massively with vocal Maintenance, stage presence and confidence.

I can also offer basic guitar lessons for people who are wanting to play and sing together, whether it’s your favourite songs you’ve always wanted to learn or your own original material. We can learn any song together and get you playing and singing straight away. I am very flexible with what it is any student wants to achieve and can help with songwriting and song structures as well.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

  • I have achieved a 1st class BA Hons degree in Pop vocal & performance
  • I have performed at the Children in need charity event at Wembley with Leeds contemporary choir performing alongside Misha Paris, Boy George and UB40
  • I have been Touring around all of the UK with high end musicians performing my own material as well as performing at high end weddings and corporate parties.
