Jonno Gaze

Hi my name is Jonno Gaze and I am a freelance musician living in Birmingham, UK:)

I grew up playing djembe and drum-kit with friends and family, singing songs and making lots of noise! At school, I played in bands and school groups before meeting other musicians who really inspired me to make music. I was Aldeburgh Young Musician in sixth form, meeting people from all over the world and creating music together before later studying jazz at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Now I am a working musician and have played at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury Festival, European Parliament and Birmingham Symphony Hall with lots of different groups and projects and really enjoy collaborating and making music:)

I believe every person is their own artist and has beautiful, unique creativity in them and I’m very happy to help in any way I can with music and drum lessons for anyone interested:) Any level from absolute beginner to professional most welcome:)

I mostly teach from my rehearsal room in Stirchley with a drum kit, piano and full PA set up for lessons but also teach via home-visits and online where preferable too. Any questions do get in touch:)

• Young Drummer of the Year UK Finalist in 2014 & 2016
