About

Jennifer Wilcove is a dynamic performer, educator, and voice over artist with a rare blend of professional stage experience and over two decades of teaching across collegiate, studio, and community environments. With a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Theory/Composition (Summa Cum Laude) and a Master of Music Education from Azusa Pacific University, Jennifer’s academic foundation is as strong as her artistic résumé . She brings more than 25 years of expertise to every lesson, rehearsal, workshop, and production she leads, creating an environment where artists of all ages can grow confidently in their craft.

Jennifer’s teaching career is exceptional in both breadth and longevity. She has served as an adjunct professor for more than 20 years at institutions including Azusa Pacific University, Cal Baptist University, Life Pacific College, and Citrus College, mentoring students in private voice, musical theatre, acting technique, and professional preparation . Her university work includes consulting for mainstage productions, conducting orchestras, directing casts, shaping vocal arrangements, and preparing students for auditions and professional careers. She is known for her ability to combine industry insight with warmth, clarity, and encouragement—qualities that make her beloved by parents, students, and emerging professionals alike.

In private instruction, Jennifer has taught voice, piano, acting, ukulele, and performance technique at numerous studios, academies, and schools, including MI Music Institute, Academy of Music, Pacific Center Studios, and the University of Redlands. Her private studio training spans elementary through adult learners, and she is passionate about helping each student discover their unique artistic identity and develop a strong technical foundation . She builds confidence through personalized instruction, recital opportunities, recording projects, and creative exploration—meeting students exactly where they are and guiding them toward excellence.

Jennifer’s professional performance credits are equally impressive. She has appeared in major regional theatres and national productions, including Big League’s Grinch National Tour, Moonlight Amphitheatre, Candlelight Pavilion, 5-Star Theatricals, Geffen Playhouse, Saddleback Civic, the Crystal Cathedral, and more . Her work extends into the recording industry as well, with experience in vocal performance, album recording, and voice over for companies such as Playstation, NBC, Rhapsody Records, and EEC International. These real-world credentials give her students insider access to professional techniques, expectations, and standards—something that sets her apart as both a teacher and mentor.

Jennifer also brings leadership, creativity, and organizational talent to her directing and administrative roles. As a music director, rehearsal accompanist, vocal arranger, casting director, and conductor, she has led successful productions across the Corona Civic Center, Candlelight Dinner Theater, Lyric Theatre, California Theater, and various high school and community programs . Her ability to manage teams, inspire casts, and shape polished performances demonstrates her strengths as both an artist and a leader.

What truly makes Jennifer stand out is her passion for empowering students. She blends proven pedagogy with an upbeat, supportive personality and a deep understanding of how artistic training builds confidence, creativity, discipline, and joy. Whether working with children discovering music for the first time, teens preparing for auditions, or professionals advancing their careers, Jennifer brings heart, expertise, and a commitment to helping every artist shine.

My Musical Inspirations

From a young age, I was deeply inspired by the sweeping cinematic scores of John Williams and the unforgettable vocal storytelling of Barbra Streisand—artists whose work taught me that music can be both powerful and deeply personal. Their artistry shaped my imagination, but it was the dedicated teachers in my academic life who shaped my path. Mentors who saw my potential, challenged my technique, and encouraged my creativity gave me the confidence to pursue music with passion and purpose. Their impact continues to fuel my commitment to guiding the next generation of artists with the same care, insight, and inspiration.
