About Jealyna Desarmes

Hi! I’m Jealyna, a violin teacher based in Kennesaw, Georgia. I’ve been playing the violin for 11 years and have a background in music composition and education.

I’m currently completing my master’s degree in music psychology, with a strong focus on developmental psychology. This has deeply shaped how I approach teaching, especially when working with young musicians. I care not only about how students play, but how they learn, grow, and build confidence through music.

My teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and structured, with lessons tailored to each student’s age, learning style, and goals. I work with beginner to intermediate students up to age 16, including those who are completely new to the violin. Strong fundamentals, healthy technique, and a genuine love for music are at the center of everything I teach.

Cancelation & Rescheduling Policy

Because lesson times are reserved specifically for each student, missed lessons cannot be refunded.

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for any cancellation
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are considered missed lessons

Even in the event of a last-minute cancellation, families are asked to notify the instructor as soon as possible. In some circumstances, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis, at the instructor’s discretion.

If the instructor must cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be scheduled, or a tuition credit will be applied.

In the event of planned travel, students will be notified in advance. During these periods, lessons will either be:

  • Held virtually, or
  • Rescheduled as a makeup lesson, depending on availability

The instructor will communicate all travel dates as early as possible to allow for planning and consistency.
