About

About

Hello, I’m Jason. I provide professional guitar tuition of all styles for people of all ages, abilities, height, colour and shoe size 🙂

I was the resident guitar teacher for the Piano Academy in Skegness for many years and now teach guitar privately and at schools in and around the sunny Skegness area (disclaimer – I am using the word sunny in it’s most creative, playful, abstract sense).

I studied music at the Royal Welsh College Of Music And Drama and have over 30 years of teaching and playing experience. I’ve studied and performed jazz, rock, blues and classical guitar. I have studied with classical guitar legends John Mills and Jorge Morel and have had masterclasses with John Williams, David Russell, Stephan Rak and Tommy Emmanuel.

As a teacher I have taught at universities, music centres, schools, a Yamaha music school and provided private guitar and music theory tuition. I currently give private lessons and teach in local schools.

As a player I have given classical guitar recitals, worked in orchestras, played electric guitar in many house bands, backing shows and performers such as Bucks Fizz, Dennis Seaton, Jaki Graham, Sonia and Jess Conrad. (If you remember who any of them are then you get a 50 point bonus!)
I currently play in two bands gigging around Lincolnshire and have a career as solo recording artist.
