Jamie Craig

Hi I’m Jamie. I started playing the drums aged 8, playing in bands from aged 12 and from there I was hooked! I continued to study the drums and music throughout my school years up to university level where I achieved BA (Hons) in Music in 2014. After finishing my studies at university I have been working as a private drum teacher and session musician teaching hundreds of students as well as working with many high profile musicians and producers in the UK scene as a studio musician such as Robbie McIntosh (Paul McCartney, John Mayer, The Pretenders), Steve Smith (Robert Plant, Pete Townshend) Mark Tucker (Portishead, Jethro Tull), Jon Sweet (Cliff Richard) and many more. Throughout this period I went on to continue my own drumming development studying with a number of highly respected British drummers such as Ian Thomas (Michael Jackson, Sting, Mark Knopfler), Steve White (Paul Weller) and Pete Cater (Pete Cater Big Band) to name a few. I have also attended many drumming masterclasses to learn from some of the world’s best drummers including: Dave Weckl (Paul Simon, Chick Corea) Keith Carlock (Toto, Steely Dan) as well as Craig Blundell (Steve Hackett, Steve Wilson) to name a few. Studying with other professionals inspired me to share this knowledge with other people who have the same passion I have for drumming and music.
