About James Sharp

James has been playing drums since 1986, playing all over the U.K, and contributing drums & percussion on three well-received albums by singer-songwriter Nicky Swann.

He has written for Modern Drummer, Drumhead magazine and Music Teacher magazine.

James became a Drumsense tutor in 2008 and became a Drumsense Master Tutor in January 2013.

He now teaches a very healthy roster of private students of various ages & levels, and has written two books in the Freedom Within Structure series.
