Hannah Messerschmidt

Hello! My name is Hannah, and I’ve been teaching music for almost a decade now, and playing it for twenty five years. I hold a masters degree in music performance, and have spent the last six years working in collegiate music as a private piano teacher, hired accompanist, and adjunct music professor. I also run a studio of private students in piano, violin, viola, and voice, and have taught four years of strings at an elementary school. Not content to stay just a teacher, I am also an active performer, and perform just about as often as I can be on stage! I’ve been hired as a fiddler, pianist, and vocalist for professional theater shows, and have performed with world-class musicians including Sight and Sound performers and the Orpheus understudy on Broadway’s Hadestown. Known for keeping lessons upbeat and joyful, I strive to make music lessons something students look forward to each week.
