Cancelation & Rescheduling Policy
  • 48-hour notice is required in order to be eligible for a make-up lesson (This is if a student has to miss due to school activities, family vacation, work trip, or other legitimate reason).
  • If a lesson is missed, but excused because of 48-hour notice, it will be rescheduled and made-up sometime within the same calendar month. It is up to the client to reschedule the lesson before the credit expires.
  • I allow up to two make-up lessons per semester for student absences.
  • If a student is too sick for a lesson, notify me the morning of the lesson. The lesson can be made-up when the student feels better and if/when I have an opening in my schedule. Please note that if a student is experiencing symptoms, but is well enough for a lesson, virtual lessons are an option and should be utilized as often as possible rather than scheduling a make-up lesson.
  • Lessons cancelled for reasons other than illness/flu/Covid or emergency with less than 48-hour notice will be forfeited.
  • The lesson will be forfeited if the student is No Call/No Show.
  • If a student has 4 NC/NS, I reserve the right to dismiss the student from my studio, no refunds.
  • If there are technical difficulties for virtual lessons, or sudden car problems or inclement weather for in-person lessons, the lesson will be made-up if/when convenient for both teacher and client. *Forgetting the lesson time does not count and is unexcused.*
  • Additionally, if I am for some reason late to a lesson (which may occur while I am traveling between clients’ homes for at-home lessons), I will make up the time as able to ensure each student receives their full lesson.
  • If a client wishes to terminate their lessons or take a break (i.e. for summer travel), I require one month’s notice.
  • The client will pay for the final month of lessons in full.
  • If the decision for termination occurs in the middle of a calendar month, the client will pay the following, and final month’s tuition in full, whether they utilize all lessons for that month or not.
  • If the client is paying semesterly/termly, and decides to terminate lessons before the first of the fourth month, I will refund one month of the tuition. If client terminates lessons on or after the first of the fourth month, there will be no refund.
