About Dan O'Neill
I studied Audio Visual production at Bournemouth Media Institute before moving to London in the late nineties. There I worked as a session musician, press officer before beginning to teach music in 2000.
Originally motived to work with NEET young people at LBTH New Start programme, I found I really could make a difference with music. Teaching bass, drums and guitar, I soon branched out into having a teaching practice of my own based around SE London.
I have been teaching in SW London, Surrey and now Sussex, ever since. Pensioners who want to perfect their Blues or progress with their progressions; young players who want to make some noise; and aspirants who want to follow a route, through examinations, towards perfection.
Nowadays I teach online and to people all over the world. The logistics might change but the passion for teaching doesn’t
I have a grade 8 in classical guitar from ABRSM, numerous credits for film score composition and credits as a working session musician. I can help you to see music from all angles to progress your abilities – no matter from where you begin.
