A Bit About Me…

I am 26 and I live in a village in Northamptonshire with my husband and our dog (aka the love of my life!) Dexter, who will no doubt make the odd appearance!

I love singing, playing piano, writing songs/ compositions and helping others achieve their musical goals. I have been teaching for 3 years now and wouldn’t change it for the world – it is a joy seeing students progress and being part of their music journey. My background is in classical music and I trained with ABRSM which is where I got my qualifications, however I sing a variety of genres including country and western, pop, jazz, singer/songwriter and classical. I have been in various productions including Annie The Musical (playing Grace), Bugsy Malone & Grease (playing Sandy). I have also appeared at various charity balls and performed for sports stars such as Ian Wright after receiving invitations from the local Mayors who had seen me perform at a previous event invite which was a great honour.

Within singing lessons we will cover – Pitch accuracy, breath control, range extension, harmonising, diction, performance, sight singing, recording, and piano accompaniment skills if of interest.

Within piano lessons we will cover – Basics of piano, chords, scales, arpeggios, sight reading and most excitingly… how to play your favourite songs!

GRADING OFFERED WITH ABRSM/ TRINITY/ ROCK SCHOOL.

I offer a fun and friendly approach, whilst ensuring we stay productive so that students get the most out of their sessions. I understand it can be daunting at first, so keep things relaxed in the hope the nerves soon disappear!

I am qualified with ABRSM. I hold a clear DBS check, certificate available.
