About

About

With an extensive training in singing, acting and performing arts and over a decade of experience in education teaching students aged 7 to 70, I would love to help you on your singing journey in whatever form that might take!

My singing teaching will focus on you, your practice and your goals. Many of my students are working towards exams of some kind but this is by no means a requirement. My main goal is to help you feel good about your voice and produce a sound in a healthy way whether it be for a choir solo, karaoke or your kitchen! I have worked with students from pre-grade 1 to above grade 8 so whatever your skill level, I can work with you.

My background and training is primarily in musical theatre (my Wicked era has been going for over 20 years!!) but I also love working with pop, folk and other contemporary music. Most recently I have had a crash course in Kpop! My biggest passion is acting through song and I am a firm believe that finding what a song means to you and finding expression in a song will always add an extra boost to your performance.
Your first lesson with me will start with a brief chat to discuss your previous experience (“none” is perfectly acceptable!) and what your goals are for your lessons. We will then do some simple warm up exercises before jumping into whatever your favourite song to sing! Whatever your confidence or skill level, we will go at your pace and put you on the path to success.

When not singing teaching, I can be found running sitzprobe musical theatre events with Company Call Productions. This is a project very close to my heart and many of my students also take part in these events. For a crash course in sight reading, harmony learning and show repertoire, these events are an ideal proving ground for singers. I can also be found singing with my choir, Chepstow Musical Theatre Show Choir or at the odd open mic! I always encourage my students to find singing opportunities outside of their lessons to build stamina, confidence and to train your ear.

Whilst most of my students are having ongoing lessons, I can also offer short term lessons, gift packages and one-off workshops. Please contact me to discuss your specific needs and we can work out a package that works for you.

Message me today to start your vocal journey and I look forward to singing with you soon!
