About Boluwatife Waiye

I am a professional vocal coach and music theory instructor with a passion for helping singers discover clarity, confidence, and control in their voice. With experience coaching over 50 students across different levels and backgrounds, I specialize in building strong vocal foundations while developing each student’s unique tone and artistic identity.

My training includes formal studies in music and music theory, and I am currently pursuing advanced musical studies at Obafemi Awolowo University. Over the years, I have worked with private students, church musicians, school learners, and online clients across platforms such as Fiverr, Preply, Classgap, and Superprof. This diverse experience has shaped my ability to adapt lessons to each student’s goals, whether they are beginners learning pitch accuracy or advanced singers refining performance technique.

My vocal coaching approach focuses on healthy vocal technique, breath control, pitch stability, vocal agility, range development, and stylistic interpretation. I emphasize proper vocal warm-ups, posture, resonance placement, diction, and performance confidence. For students interested in contemporary styles such as gospel, R&B, pop, and worship music, I provide stylistic coaching that blends technical precision with emotional expression.

In addition to vocal training, I offer structured music theory lessons designed to simplify complex concepts. I teach scales, intervals, chord construction, harmony, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm training, and songwriting fundamentals. My goal is to ensure students not only sing well but also understand the music they perform. When singers understand theory, they become more confident, versatile, and independent musicians.

Each lesson is interactive, goal-oriented, and customized. I begin by assessing the student’s current level, vocal habits, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, I design a step-by-step development plan that includes technical exercises, repertoire work, and performance coaching. I also provide structured feedback and practice strategies to ensure consistent growth between sessions.

Beyond technique, I believe in building confident performers. Many singers struggle not because of lack of talent but because of fear or uncertainty. My coaching environment is supportive, structured, and motivating. Students leave each lesson with clear direction and practical tools they can immediately apply.

Whether you are preparing for auditions, church ministrations, stage performances, exams, or simply want to improve your voice for personal growth, I am committed to helping you achieve measurable progress.

Music is both discipline and expression. My mission is to help you master both.
