The Lessons –

Ear training and chord chart oriented lessons. Good for those who don’t want classical piano lessons or struggle with in-depth theory.

I teach the practical knowledge and skills required to learn songs by Billy Joel, Tom Odell and modern artists – and understanding to write your own songs.

I have taught piano and played around Oxford/Buckinghamshire in piano bars and music venues.

45 minute lessons.

About me –

I grew up taking traditional, classical piano lessons – which I didn’t like at all and ended up quitting, thinking I wasn’t very good at the piano.

After being inspired by a friend to play songs I actually listened to day-to-day – I taught myself how to play for the next 15 years or so, eventually playing in bars & music venues and writing my own songs.

Vocally – I was much too daunted to sing until quite a late age – and I wish I had the encouragement to do so earlier. I have trained under a professional singing teacher and have experience in the basic techniques to get started.
